Subject: Great book!!
Subject: Great book!!
As a fairly new nurse, I have often wondered how nursing began in the US, the Civil War was the catalyst that started it all here. There were many women who served as nurses many were unsung heros. Here is one lady who dispite being newly widowed, found that she was needed and joined forces to help aid the sick and injured. There are many interesting stories within the covers of this book, but there is some very good information for medical and nursing educators and historians as well.
